Windows Media Player 11 (Vista32bit) won’t play anything, but all other features (library, etc.) work fine?

I think I have a pretty unique problem. Currently running Vista 32bit on a Dell Latitude. Every event I try to play a song or video through WMP11 will not play. The music timer sit for about five seconds at 0:00, the change in 0:01, then do not go there. Other features such as browsing through the library to work. WMP not just an accident. Help!

use k-lite codec pack .it will play everything in ur media player11. here is the link http://www.free-codecs.com/download/K_lite_codec_pack.htm
